Blog #7

Lately, we have been making pillows for the cats and dogs in shelters; many shelter animals, if you’ve noticed, will come with blankets when adopted. Believing that they deserve something better to sleep on, we have decided to make them beds out of t-shirts and sweatshirts. This week, we plan to give the pillows to the Metro East Humane Society and hang out with the cats. We will have at least six pillows made and donated for the cat room and, if we’re lucky, one more for the puppies.

Hopefully, giving them better beds will make the cats less stressed and more likely to be adopted. The pillows will also hopefully help the puppies stay calm while in the room by the loud dogs. I know from experience that cats love the pillows. My cat has one that she loves. She hated cat beds before I made her one. She has also been less stressed and more playful after she got one. We might sell them too, depending on if they actually work for the shelter animals.
